Gaspereau River Trail

It's hard to believe how many beautiful spots there are in Nova Scotia. This morning, we went on another beautiful hike just minutes down the road from our house. The Gaspereau River Trail is a beautiful, easy walk that runs along the river for about 4k beginning just south of the town of White Rock, near Gaspereau and Wolfville. One can easily find it by driving to White Rock either along Ridge Road or White Rock Road, and then turning left (South) on Deep Hollow Rd and parking along the road right after the bridge that crosses the river only about  100 meters out of White Rock. The trail is on the opposite side of the road (and river) from the parking nook, and there is no signage, really, but it's easy to find. It was a lovely walk—a perfect break from school and the city.

On a side note, apparently there is a way to hike to Three Pools starting from this spot, starting from the opposite side of the river from the trail. When we went to Three Pools this summer we drove down farther so that it was just a short walk in, but sometime one could also try hiking in from here. The trail along the river was beautiful. It was wonderful to walk amid all the leaves on such a warm November day.
