Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle

 

Only minutes out of Inverness lies the beautiful Loch Ness and what now remains of the majestic Urquhart Castle. I visited Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle on a day I was in Inverness. It was a beautiful day. We went to the castle, where there is a great travel museum that gives you the history of the castle, and then we walked from the Castle to Drumnadrochit, and had a lovely lunch at the Hotel there before returning to Inverness. It was really wonderful. If I went back, I would probably stay in Drumnadrochit for a night.
